Our Story
Food is how I
show I care.
NauNau is too.
Food has always been how my family says I love you. NauNau is my way of passing that on.

Where I come from
A gran who always
made it from scratch.
My gran's milktart. That's the taste of home for me. It was always there at birthdays, always made properly β never from a packet, never a shortcut. She just knew how to make people feel looked after through food.
My mom carried that on. She made dinner every single night β always good, always healthy, always made with care. And every birthday, without fail, a homemade cake. For each of us, every year. She taught me that feeding people is one of the most loving things you can do.
That's where my love of food comes from. Not restaurants or cookbooks β a kitchen that always smelled like something good was happening.

The thing that bothered me
Single-use plastic
has always felt wrong.
I genuinely hate waste. The cling wrap you use once and throw away. The Ziploc bags that go straight in the bin. The mountains of plastic that come from just trying to keep food fresh. It's unnecessary, it's lazy design, and it adds up to something enormous.
We all know it's a problem. But knowing isn't the same as having a better option. That's the part that frustrated me most β not that people didn't care, but that there wasn't something good enough to make them actually switch.
I care deeply about what we're leaving behind for future generations. And I believe that most people do too β they just need something worth switching to. Something that makes the right choice feel like the obvious one.

The opportunity
I saw it overseas.
I came home. It wasn't here.
I came across silicone bags while travelling and immediately thought β this is it. Cute, practical, reusable, multipurpose. The kind of thing that makes single-use plastic feel completely pointless. And it was beautiful enough that you'd actually want to use it every day.
I came home and couldn't find anything like it in South Africa. That gap felt personal. This is a country full of people who cook from scratch, who bake birthday cakes, who feed the people they love β and they deserved something this good. So I stopped waiting for someone else to bring it here and started building it myself.

Full circle
From Big Bake Theory
to NauNau.
At university I started a baking page called Big Bake Theory β cakes, pastries, anything I could make with my hands and give to someone. Making people happy through food felt like the most natural thing in the world. During Covid, I planned weekly themed dinner parties for my whole family. Mexican night. Homemade pasta. Pizza from scratch. All of us together, around food I'd made. Those are some of the best memories I have.
Today, my mom Tracey and I still create recipes and dinner party ideas together. She's the first person I call when something goes wrong β in the kitchen and in life. When I use my NauNau bags to store cookies I've just baked, or keep Sunday's sauce for Thursday's dinner, or prep ahead for a dinner party β it all connects back to the same thing. The love of food. The joy of making something. The pleasure of sharing it with the people you care about.
NauNau is where all of it comes together β the food, the people, and doing something good for the planet along the way.
From our kitchen to yours.
"Food is how we show we care. This is ours."
NauNau was made to inspire people to do what they love β whether that's cooking and baking like me, or hiking, sport, the beach, or anything in between. Whatever your thing is, there's a NauNau bag for it. And every time you use it, you're doing right by the planet too.
Three things we won't budge on.
It's 2026.
We can do better.
If we're still reaching for single-use plastic in 2026, we're not doing our part. The cling wrap. The Glad bags. The zip-locks we use once and throw away without thinking. It adds up to something enormous β and most of us know it.
But here's what I believe: people don't need to be guilted into change. They need to be given something better. Something so good, so easy, so genuinely enjoyable to use that the old way just stops making sense.
That's what NauNau is. Not a sacrifice. An upgrade. A bag you actually love β that also happens to be one of the simplest, most meaningful swaps you can make for the planet.
Small swaps.
Massive ripple.

"I hope NauNau earns a spot in your kitchen the way my gran's milktart earned a spot at every birthday table. Something you reach for without thinking. Something that just belongs."
The easy swap
starts here.
No guilt. No compromise. Just a bag you'll actually love using β every single day.
